I am regularly invited to run university seminars on Business Decision Making.  The sessions are sub-titled with the line 'This is what really happens...'

In a series of highly interactive modules contemporary academic theory is critically put to the test and frequently found wanting.  The participants learn that high control, highly rational decision methods offer the illusion of action and purpose but then then the decisions seem to unravel. Unhelpful conflict and competition becomes endemic, decision makers become disabled and unable to contribute effectively.

Working together, they learn to develop their skills of intuition and find that particpation, engagement and inclusion are vital for effective business decisions which lead to resilient, sustainable change.
