Photo-Dialogue 2010 - Where Now?

I've written my own maxim for 2010:  If I blog it, it will happen!

I'm starting to realise that if you put content 'out there' then people will find it, some of them might like it and maybe you get asked to collaborate and work alongside them, then people start to ask you for your stuff...

So, this is the intent I'm setting for this year...

  • Keep the blogging discipline going - and the format of P-D will change over the coming weeks..
  • Gotta write up my PhD by summer (Yay - I'm already looking forward to the party...;-)
  • I will be making more time for my own photography...
  • And I'm still fanatical about developing the potential of the image/word mix...
  • Make a change in my consulting work - focus on the stuff that will really make a difference (I always try to do that but I'm going to get tougher here...)
  • And remember that as I consult around 'vision' it's .. erm.. a visual thing...
  • .. so (clients ;-) let's see it!
  • This new year and many more will be chaotic so perspective and the big picture matters!

To get things started, check out Claire Evan's video, 'The Evolution of Life on 60 Seconds.'  It's a great experiment with simple text presented powerfully:

Oh, and there is one more bullet point:

  • Keep it fun.

So to celebrate the fun check out this video (via Chase Jarvis on twitter). Listen for the great line: "I'm not even a photographer. I'm a painting contracter....!" Oh, really?

Brilliant....

Maybe just as importantly (in the keep it fun mode.....) have you seen 'The Evolution of Dance...'; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg

It's been around for a while but still makes me smile!

Riot. Somehow that one slipped passed me.

Maybe you need to be of a certain age before your friends send you that one...! You are clearly too young!

Yeah. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
