Blurred Kid, NYC.

OK, it's getting late and I should be getting ready to roll up to Scotland tomorrow... but I've been playing Alicia Keys' version of 'Empire York State of Mind' as I tap away at the computer - and suddenly remembered this kid.
I had been photographing at a New York street market (OK - not quite following the WPO 'Diner on the edge...' brief) and stopped to hang out for a coffee in a streetside deli. This young guy came up and was looking at my cameras and I took a couple of pictures of him before he wandered off.
He left me sitting by the window watching the night shoppers go by... then suddenly he reappeared walking past the shop - I instinctively raised the camera and....
"Grew up in a town,
That is famous as a place of movie scenes
Noise is always loud
There are sirens all around
And the streets are mean
If I could make it here
I could make it anywhere..."
And I wonder what story Geoff could tell about this moment...

Lovely glimpses. This arose:
In the swirl of
light and noise
the boy in his own
comet-ary trajectory
is captivated by
the one who captures
the images
from the cacophony.
Two lives' moments
pulled together
by the gravities
of eyes..
the bodies release,
disappear
to swing by
and meet
just one fleeting once more
separated
in their
spinning
gleaming
thundering
orbits.
I am speechless.... Your response is beautiful.... And perfectly captures the spirit of what I hope Photo-Dialogue is all about... Thank You...:-)))

Magical photo! Didn't quite fit for the workshop, but you should have turned it in anyway.
Yeah... There was a slight editing snag.. The WPO editors were expecting a selection of 30 images to choose from. I wasn't there for that part of the brief and rocked up with about 1500... Oops. Took me a while to find this...!
